The Reno Coast Guard Flotilla 11-03 is a volunteer organization. You can join this flotilla to help provide service to the boating community.
Benefits of Membership
- Training - Members receive some of the most comprehensive training available from the Coast Guard and other Auxiliary volunteers to be able to do their jobs well. Courses cover Leadership, AUXOP series (Navigation, Communications, Search & Rescue, Seamanship, Weather and Patrols), Crew and Coxswain certification, and much more.
- Community Service Opportunities - The Coast Guard Auxiliary supports many missions. As a volunteer, you can select from these missions to provide service to your community. Activities supporting our missions include Operational Patrols of regattas and races, fishing tournaments, and other water-borne events. Other activities such as Vessel Safety Checks and Information Booths at boat shows helps to assure that boaters are knowledgeable and prepared to boat safely.
- Fellowship - One of the four cornerstones of the Auxiliary to to work with like-minded individuals, and to have fun doing it. Social event, meetings, and working on and off the water with other volunteers can lead to life-long friendships.
