Member Training - On and Off the Water

Training with CG Station Tahoe

Members of the Auxiliary must be prepared to safely and competently support the Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary in performance of its many missions. The mission of the Auxiliary's training program is to prepare our members for that purpose. Training is provided at all levels across a wide spectrum: in the areas of leadership and management through our Leadership Continuum, in the areas of operations, through our Operational Specialty Courses, and through qualifications for Instructor, Vessel Examiner, Marine Dealer Visitor, etc.

Classroom AUXOP Training

The Reno Flotilla provides training to help its members meet AUXOP, Crew and Coxswain qualifications.  These skills are readily transferrable to all boating activity.

The Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary provide additional training to provide members with the skills and knowledge necessary to support the missions of the Auxiliary.
